Positioned as ?the Leading International Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness and Health?, in 2011, FIBO broke new records. The event in Essen, Germany, saw 58,100 visitors, 581 exhibitors, a surface area of 75,000 m? in all twelve exhibition halls.
FIBO 2012 is held from 19-22 April, and according to the organisers will burst at its seams this year. ?Our onsite rebooking figures at the trade show has already broken all records?, says FIBO Event Director Olaf Tomscheit proudly. ?In the meantime, FIBO 2012 is just about fully booked out!?
Requests for exhibition space keep coming in. As a result, FIBO 2012 in Essen will be the biggest FIBO of all time before the event moves to Cologne in 2013 in order to measure up to its continuous growth and increasingly international character. In Essen, 60,000 visitors from more than 100 countries are expected this year.
FIBO Innovation Award
More effective, healthier, safer, more individual and ?greener?: the nominations for the FIBO Innovation Award 2012 offer new technologies for fitness studios, health centres and physiotherapist institutions. Ten companies prevailed in the Training Equipment, Health and Design categories this year and now hope to win the much coveted award.
With about 80 entries, interest in the FIBO Innovation Award was stronger than ever at its 13th edition. As the show organisers point out, the nominated companies from Germany, the USA, Brazil and Taiwan ?demonstrate the enormous innovative power existing in the global fitness market which equally serves the different requirements of both studio operators and users.?
The nominated products will be displayed during the entire duration of the trade show from 19-22 April at the INNOVATION FORUM in Hall 7. The winning prize will be awarded by an independent jury of experts under the direction of the T?V Rheinland Group and in cooperation with the magazine FIT FOR FUN. Members of the jury are sports scientists, sports physicians and journalists.
